This article reflects exactly what I think about the typical social network

This great article is exactly the sort of thing I have mentioned in prior blog posts.


When people do not understand the choices because a social network (in this case FB) makes them so myopic (i.e. confusing) free will becomes an illusion. How can ANYONE make an informed decision about what to share, and tell about ourselves if we are not given the facts. The fact is all the social networks (particularly the largest one) are deliberately misleading the user into thinking conversations on their networks are between friends and not intended to be recycled across the Internet, and their 3rd party affiliates, ad partners, potential ad partners and god knows who else!

Until columnists and Internet users points to how unethical it is to trick people into giving up their god given right to privacy is, nothing will change:(
